BONE PROFILER KITS

MIS is pleased to announce the new Bone Profiler Kits for Conical Connection (MK-0060) and for Internal Hex. Connection. (MK-0059). You will be able to order the new Bone Profiler kit in one month.

The Bone Profiler Kit contains Guide Pins, to be connected to the implant at max. torque of 10Ncm and bone profiler drills, to perform milling of the bone at max.cutting speed of 200rpm.

The Bone Profiler Kit provides a solution for all platforms and enables an easy path of insertion of abutments in cases of tilted implant placement.

NOTE: Do not use the bone profiler immediately after implant placement, when the insertion torque is lower than 40 NCm.

NEW! MIS acquisition by DENTSPLY-SIRONA

MIS happy to inform that after several months of negotiations, the shareholders of MIS and DENTSPLY-SIRONA have signed an agreement for the acquisition of MIS by DENTSPLY-SIRONA. This agreement, once it becomes valid in a few months, means that MIS will be entirely owned by DENTSPLY-SIRONA

What does this mean for MIS South Africa?

• ISS remains as the sole distributor in the Southern Africa region.
• MIS operations remain unchanged ( i.e. independent), as does the management structure and personnel.
• Products, packaging & pricing remain unchanged (the latter as much as our currency allows).

The involvement will allow for greater access to Sirona cad/cam & software systems which will be of great benefit to all.

C1 Surgical Kit Update

Announcing updates to the C1 Surgical Kit (MK-0044)

The updated surgical kit now includes a new surgical torque ratchet, and 12 new insertion tools, 4 for each platform. The new insertion tools are available for use by hand-piece, ratchet and manually, and all ensure easy and safe connection to the implant during surgery.

OT-EQUATORS
The OT-Equators are low-profile overdenture and removable denture attachments that offer a variety of retentive solutions suitable for a wide range of clinical scenarios. OT-Equators are the smallest attachment system on the market and therefore ideal in cases of space limitations. OT-Equator attachments feature a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating for maximum resistance to wear, a small-scale metal housing and replaceable nylon caps suitable for various retention levels. Retention caps can be replaced easily within seconds.

"Surface analysis of sterile-packaged implants" (published in the EDI Journal - 1/2015)

In this study, 65 different implant systems from 37 manufacturers and 10 countries have been examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Our implants, C1 and SEVEN, stood out positively in the current study, without any findings of isolated spots with residue on the implants surface.

NEW RATCHET

MIS introduces our new Ratchet (MT-R1030), a mono-block design with a unique mechanism that simplifies use and cleaning. The Ratchet head features a round connection and comes with a designated adaptor (MT-RA480) to fit standard hex. connection tools in previous versions of surgical kits.

C1 ABUTMENT DESIGN

MIS announces a design modification to all C1 Abutments. (New C1 Abutments come in Narrow, Standard and Wide platforms). The new design features a concave profile that helps gain thicker soft tissue for better esthetic results.

A special groove has been added to help verify the proper positioning of the new concave abutments. Check that the groove is parallel at the platform switching level and that the abutment sits exactly at shoulder level of the implant.

Radiographic imaging can be used to verify the final position of the abutment.

New abutments will gradually replace existing stock within the next few months.
